You might want to slow travel, maybe leave a toxic situation and be a good role model when it comes to money
Having lived through a childhood family trauma, I feel strongly about helping women master their money
When I was 10 years old my parents divorced and filed for bankruptcy due to a failed business they had built up during my childhood. My life was turned upside down.
Seeing my mum's struggle, I decided then and there to learn how to manage my money well - as a way of protecting myself from that kind of suffering in the future.
From that point, I started reading every book that I could find on personal finance and have continued with my interest for more than +20 years now.
I spent my late 20s and early 30s living in Spain and Switzerland and every weekend I would go shopping for clothing, shoes, books, eating out etc.
I spent every cent I made and was living paycheck to paycheck and thought I was budgeting when I really wasn't. I also saved some money for a couple of months to then spend it all again and repeat this over and over.
My apartment in Barcelona cost me half of my net salary and I had taken credit for a new Vespa that I bought. I did all the things that are completely normal in our society but that is very damaging to us. My financial life was a mess.
Looking back at those years I also learned a lot. My passion for personal finance was always there so I tried a lot of different things out and I made all the beginner mistakes you can think of when it comes to managing your money.
The financial mistakes I have made in the last 20 years have cost me hundreds of thousands of Euros but without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
It wasn't until I got pregnant with my first son that I decided to take control of my financial situation once and for all and to create long-term financial stability and freedom. I started to put into practice everything that I had learned from a young age.
Today, at age 40, I have a paid-for townhouse, no bad debt, solid retirement savings for early retirement, zero financial stress, money systems running smoothly and I'm working on my own business. I don't say this to show off, I hope to inspire you by showing what is possible with determination and focus.
When I don't work with Molly's Money I take care of my boys, go running with my dog, cook vegetarian food, read books and watch comedy series on netflix.
This is my dream life and I want you to live your dream life too!
Having me as your financial coach will mean that you will have my support each step of the way and I'll not let you get stuck anywhere. I want to fast-track your learning curve and shave off decades of trial and error.
I won’t let you give up on your dream of having a strong financial future. It’s too important!
